Today was a great day for travel starting out cloudy with blue patches of sky that eventually changed into solid blue skies. Because it was Sunday, traffic was light, especially early morning. We drove for about 2 hours (85 miles) west before entering into Tennessee. The mountain scenery was beautiful. We travelled adjacent to the Nantahala River in NC and the Ocoee River in TN. Both rivers had their share of rafters and kayakers taking advantage of the beautiful weather. Just before reaching Chattanooga, we pulled into the parking lot of a closed business for a quick lunch in the RV. In Chattanooga, we had about a 20 minute delay due to construction. West of Chattanooga, we briefly entered Georgia then returned to TN where we entered Central Time Zone. My phone and watch both detected the change and adjusted their times accordingly.
Today is Mother’s Day so while driving, I was thinking about my late mother as well as Jane’s, Helen, who recently passed.
We arrived at the Manchester KOA around 2 pm (after gaining an hour) and quickly set up. The site was very nice with full hookups including cable and a paved patio with table, chairs and a glider. Jane and I sat at the patio table and played Rummi Kub to decompress.

Next we headed into Manchester via car to check out a local brewery, Common John, where we shared two flights (10 samples) of various types of beer and ate veggie pizza. The weather was wonderful so we sat outside and had a relaxing afternoon.

Back at the campsite, I played my banjo on the patio while Jane watched tv before we both retired.
Any standout brews from Common Johns?
We both liked their Straight & Narrow Golden Ale best and bought a 4 pack to take along with us. I also liked the Stout of Tune by WanderLinger Brewing Co., Chattanooga. – John
