Our RV spent much of the Day Here

We spent the first part of this morning attending to mundane but necessary activities. Our problem tire was down to 20 psi this morning so Jane found a shop, Big O Tires, less than two miles away that could handle RVs. We dropped the RV off there, then headed to Walmart in the toad to replenish depleted supplies.

After shopping, we headed to Old Town Albuquerque. The plaza, church and traditional adobe structures from Albuquerque’s 1706 founding are still present in Old Town. We enjoyed meandering around buildings that are now occupied by restaurants, gift stores and museums. We were disappointed that the Rattlesnake Museum was closed on Mondays. We were required to weave through its gift shop before entering, San Felip de Neri, the Mother Church of Albuquerque.

After our Old Town tour, we drove to the Sandia Peak Tramway and were soon boarding for a flight on the world’s longest aerial tramway traveling from 6,669 to 10,378 ft. in 15 minutes. The tram car afforded beautiful views of Albuquerque and the Rio Grande Valley as well as views of the Sandia Mountains. The cool temperatures and winds on the peak shortened our outside viewing. We lunched at the Ten 3 Restaurant seated at a window table with a fantastic panoramic view. We had a salad and lime pesto pasta and shared an orange dreamsicle panna cotta for dessert. The meal was delicious.

 relief, the cost to repair the leak was a mere $28. We fueled up both the toad and RV on our ways back to the campground. After rehooking up the utilities, Jane reorganized some of our cabinets with storage bins she had purchased at Walmart. She also changed the batteries in all 10 of our tire pressure sensors then we reinstalled them while reprogramming our digital TPMS monitor. We had happy hour in our motorhome with beer from Guadalupe Mountain Brewery (Carlsbad) and La Cumbre Brewing Company (Albuquerque), the latter we had purchased at Walmart. We had leftover pizza for dinner.
