Greenville Reunion

Wednesday, June 15, 2022

Today, we travelled about three hours from Vogel State Park in Georgia to Paris Mountain State Park in South Carolina. We stopped and ate lunch in the RV at the South Carolina Welcome Station.

We have arrived in Greenville to pickup our black cat, Zorro, from sister Lisa who has been keeping him for us during our travels. My siblings and I grew up in the suburbs of Greenville, and Lisa, as well as  brother Robert, still live here. After setting up the RV, we drove to Lisa’s nice creek-side condominium and were greeted by Zorro at the front door. Robert drove over from his nearby house and we spent the remainder of the afternoon catching up on news, eating freshly-boiled peanuts, and being entertained by Zorro who was overwhelmed by all the laps from which to choose.

Lisa drove us to a Mediterranean restaurant, Green Lettuce, and we all enjoyed a good meal together before returning to Lisa’s condo for more chatting as well as game-playing. We broke up the reunion around 9 pm. Jane and I drove back to the campground and had to unlock the gate using the provided combination number so we could access our motorhome for the evening
