Be It Ever So Humble

There’s no place like home.

We left Paris Mountain State Park in Greenville, SC, and arrived safely home near Apex, NC, after about a 5.5-hour drive including an accident delay in Charlotte and a couple of quick pit stops. Although our trip was an amazing adventure, Jane, Zorro and I were all glad to be back home. Will, our house-sitter, had recently mowed our grass and, thanks to his watering regime, our vegetable garden was flourishing. We still have a lot of unpacking, a huge stack of mail to peruse, grocery shopping, and other reacclimating activities before us, but we’re first chilling out awhile in our familiar home (which seems spacious after six weeks of RV life).

If there are still any hangers-on reading this blog, please hang on a little longer. I’ll make one final post before signing off for this trip.

Home Sweet Home!
